Martin Andrew Johns, 85, of Little Rock, passed away June 21, 2012. He was born August 10, 1926 in Warren, Arkansas to the late Virgil and Lucille Johns. Martin was a veteran of Korean War and WWII, serving in the Marines, Army and later, Air Force reserves. He was of Missionary Baptist faith, a Shriner and a 50 year Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Franklin Johns; grandson, Troy Trantham; one brother and one sister.
Survivors: wife, Amanda Johns, Little Rock; sons, Robert Bruce Johns, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Aaron Trantham of Vilonia, Arkansas; daughter, Sharon Mangum, Benton; sister, Martha Temple, Warren; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Arkansas State Veteran’s Cemetery in North Little Rock.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Ashby’s.
