Merle Duane Zitterich, age 83, of Haskell died Sunday, July 1, 2012. He was born December 25, 1928 in Humboldt, Iowa. Merle was retired from the USAF, serving 21 years during the Korea and Vietnam Wars and was also retired from the Harper Construction Co. He was of the Lutheran Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Charlotte Zitterich. wife, Lois Jean Zitterich,

Survivors, son, Randall Zitterich, Haskell; daughter, Linda Zitterich, Haskell; brothers, Justin Zitterich, Minnesota; Eldon Zitterich, Iowa; sisters, Marietta Norris, Iowa; Jeralda Zitterich, Nevada; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Marshall Funeral Chapel with burial at East Union Cemetery in Union, Nebraska.
