Norma McAdory Girner, 90, of Benton passed away Tuesday, July 24. She was born March, 7, 1922, in Birmingham, Ala., to the late Dave and Lilly B. Harris. She was a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church for 44 years, where at one time she served as church secretary. In earlier years she was an active member and supporter of the Saline County Humane Society. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 43 years, Robert McAdory,Sr.; her second husband, John Girner; a son, Richard "Rick" McAdory; and two siblings.

Surviving Mrs. Girner are two sons, Robert "Bob" McAdory of Benton and William "Bill" McAdory and wife Ann of Franklin, Ohio. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Debbie McAdory of Benton; and grandchildren, Kael Hudson and husband David, Scott McAdory, Kristen Phipps and husband Matt, and Rhiannon Patterson. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren, Megan Hudson, Drew McAdory, Caitlyn Goshien, Willie Goshien,Jr., Cara and Ashlyn Phipps; a sister, Marnesse McAdory of Smithfield, Va.; and many wonderful friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at Ashby Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Richey officiating. Burial will follow at New Rosemont Cemetery.

Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 27, at the funeral home.
