Eugene Holcombe, 82, of Avilla, passed away August 2, 2012. He was born November 21, 1929 in Tallapoosa, Georgia to the late Charlie and Ruby Carter Holcombe.

Eugene was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Marie Holcombe, sons, Larry and Gary Holcombe, daughter, Peggy Thompson, grandchildren, Jimmy Holcombe and Jamie Lynn Thompson.

Survivors, wife, Virginia Milks Holcombe of Avilla, sons, Harold “Bo” Holcombe of Benton, Anthony Holcombe and wife, Sandra of Alexander, Jimmy Holcombe and wife, Jone of Benton, Charles Shannon Holcombe of Alexander, sister, Ruth Chany of Oregon, grandchildren, Heather Joslin, Jeremy Reeves, Michael Reeves, Melissa Holcombe, Denny Holcombe, Jamie Lee Holcombe, Klarissa Holcombe, Kasey Holcombe, Danny Holcombe, Dwayne Neal, Bryan Wedge, Tony Sovulewski, eight great grandchildren.

Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Hicks Cemetery with Bro. Curtis Kyle.

Visitation will be at Ashbys, Friday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
