Harold Lee Woodard, Sr., age 84, of Benton, died Thursday, August 2, at his home. Harold was born October 19, 1927, in Bradley County, Arkansas, a son of the late Silas Lee Woodard and the late Mary May Howsen Woodard. He was a graduate of the Banks Public School System. Harold was a member of Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Alcoa. He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Betty Joye McLeod Woodard; two sons, Harold Woodard, Jr. and wife Sharen, Robert Woodard and wife Regina, both of Benton; one brother, Lathan Woodard, of Benton, two sisters, Pauline McLeod and Sissy Johnson, both of Warren; four grandchildren Zeke Woodard and wife Amy, Andrew Woodard and wife Liz, Taylor Finley and husband Jason, all of Benton; and Luke Woodard and wife Laura of Conway; and 6 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Zeke Woodard, Andrew Woodard, Luke Woodard, Jason Finley, William “Petie” Woodard and Russell Woodard. A funeral service will be held at Ashby Funeral Home, in Benton, on Saturday, August 4th at 2:00pm. Graveside service to follow at Ten Mile Cemetery, in Benton. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 at Ashby Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church.
