Alan Douglas Emmons age 61, of Benton, was born February 5, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas to Faye and John Emmons.

Alan is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Roeun Sim Emmons, and their children, Eric Emmons and Lydia Whetstone (Sean), his grandchildren Isabelle and Noah Whetstone, and brothers, Steve (Darlene) and Scott Emmons.

He grew up primarily in Texas, but settled in Benton, Arkansas. He graduated from Harmony Grove High School where he played basketball and ran cross country. After high school, he enlisted in the Army and served in Germany. He earned an Associate's Degree in Business Management. Alan worked in the Hygiene Infection Prevention Service Industry for 25 years and was currently employed by Auto-Chlor of Little Rock.

Alan was of the Baptist faith and was attending Bible Baptist Church in Alexander. His faith was important to him, as well as his family. He dearly loved his wife, Roeun, as they spent most of their time together. It was often said, "if you saw one, you saw the other."

He was so proud of his son, Eric, and his achievements. They both loved to play tennis, support the Razorbacks, and, in fact, they enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Green Bay Packers.

Alan was also proud of his daughter, Lydia, and her family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing with his grandson, Noah, and loved engaging in a friendly sword fight from time to time with him. He enjoyed long conversations about anything, with his granddaughter, Isabelle.

Alan passed away in his sleep on December 8, 2023. He will always be loved, remembered and missed.

There will be a memorial and celebration of life for Alan, on Tuesday, December 12th at 2pm at Bible Baptist Church in Alexander.
