Alice Faye Thornberry Witham, 79, of Benton, passed away Wednesday October 22, 2025.  She was born March 27, 1946 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to William (Yank) and Rizzie Wagner Thornberry.  Alice was the baby of 10 children.

She is survived by the love of her life, Carl J. Witham whom she married on June 3, 1961.  In their 64 years of marriage, she lived in Germany and Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri where Carl was stationed in the Army.  She also got to see places like Turkey, France, Switzerland, and Singapore.

Alice was retired from Harvest Foods (formerly Safeway).  After retirement, she decided to open the largest tanning salon in Benton.

Her favorite things were being with her family, her bible, and anything her kids & grandkids gave her; especially her jewelry.  We called Alice the "Queen of Diamonds".

She is preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; daughter, Carla Davis; and grandson, Chase.

Alice is survived by her husband; son, Carlton Witham (Johnette) of Traskwood; daughter, Becky Wilkinson of Benton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren who she loved with all her heart.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind a true legacy of what a wife, mother, and grandmother should be and she will be truly missed.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Monday October 27, 2025 at Ashby's.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel. Todd Bray will officiate.
