Amanda Paige 'Mandy' Blaylock, age 47 of Bauxite, was born on February 25, 1978, on her mother's birthday. She was born with a full head of dark hair and red lips so she got lot's of attention from the nurses.

Sadly, Mandy passed away suddenly on May 8 after struggling with alcoholism for many years. She apparently inherited the gene from her father, Stan, who died in 2007 after also battling the disease for years.

Mandy is survived by her mother Linda Wills, stepfather David Wills, brother Joshua Blaylock, grandmother, Agnes Blaylock and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She has joined in heaven, her father, Stan Blaylock, her grandfather Jim Blaylock, her grandparents, Tom and Mardelle Manning and uncles, Ron Manning, Mike Blaylock.

Mandy was a sweet and loving daughter. She made friends easily and was loved by so many. She loved her brother, Josh and followed him to Charleston, South Carolina to make a new home there for the last 18 years. She loved Charleston.

Mandy worked as a medical assistant most of her career but also worked in various restaurants along the way. Every place she went she made some very good lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Natural State Recovery Centers or your favorite charity.

There will be an informal memorial gathering for friends and family on Monday, May 12th at a Rookh Italian Indian Restaurant, 22000 I-30, Bryant, AR between 4:00 and 6:00. Please stop by for a bite to eat and to pay your respects.
