Anita Claire McCullar, 91, of Benton, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 23rd at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. She was born in Batesville, MS. on July 12, 1933 to Clarence and Lois Land. She was a faithful member of Parkview United Methodist Church for over 60 years, where she worshipped, attended, and supported any way she could to spread her love of God with everyone in her path. She was a people person and wanted to know all about your family, work, etc. until you were no longer a stranger but a friend. She loved to talk about how proud she was of her two sons, two grandsons, one great-grandson, two daughters-in-law were some of her favorite topics to share.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Thomas Gayle.

She is survived by sisters Shirley Holloway (John) of Bryant and Carey Drake, of Madison, MS. Also a brother-in-law Herman Holloway of Bryant. To carry on her memory are sons, Tommy (Mary Ann) and John (Cindy) of Benton, grandsons, Bryan and Jake (Bianca) of Springdale and great-grandson, Maverick McCullar along with nieces and nephews and many many friends.

Pallbearers will be Bryan McCullar, Jake McCullar, Steve Nichols, Roy Preuett, Charlie Atkins, Randy Clift, and Greg Davis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkview United Methodist Church in Benton.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Thursday before the services.

Celebration of life will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
