North Little Rock

Obituary

Barbara "Bobbie" Jean Rowland, 81, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Saturday, January 10, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Bobbie was born on September 10, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Willie Reece Bailey and Era Jean Bailey. From the very beginning, she had a spark about her. One that showed up in her quick wit, her strong opinions (which she was always right about), and her ability to love fiercely and without apology.

Known to many as "Bobbie," she had a sense of humor that could catch you off guard and a laugh you didn't forget. She was tough when she needed to be, tender when it mattered most, and always herself. Bobbie loved her family deeply, especially her boys and grandchildren, and she made sure they knew it.

She is survived by her two granddaughters and one grandson: Taylor Tull (Michelle) and their children, Alivia, Avery, Faith, Aubrie, Asher, Aspen, Scarlett, Ashton, Beckett, and Joliett, of Bryant, Arkansas; Ashley Rowland (Tim) of Mountain Home, Idaho, and her son Kaiden of Benton, Arkansas; and Noah Tull (Helsey) of El Paso, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Debra Kay Lawrenz (Tim) of Bauxite, Arkansas; her nephew, Mike Whittemore (Cora) and their son Reece of Mabelvale, Arkansas; Her nieces  Karen Culpepper (John) of Rison, Arkansas and Laura Thompson (John) of Texas. Along with many loving cousins and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Randall DeLon Rowland and Steven Everett Rowland. Their father and her first love, Everett DeLon Rowland. As well as her brother, Billy Reece Bailey. His wife, Nancy Bailey; and their daughter, Teresa Holder. A reunion we know was full of hugs, laughter, and probably a little sass.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ashby Funeral Home, 108 W. Narroway Street, Benton, Arkansas 72015. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ashby Funeral Home.

Bobbie's legacy lives on in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love passed down through generations. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
