Benjamin Kenneth Ridgway, Jr., age 63, of Benton and Pine Bluff passed away on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023. He was best known for making everyone smile and laugh in a room. Whether he found the perfect gift for someone or told a corny joke, Kenny never missed a moment to spread joy and happiness.

Ken was born in Pine Bluff on April 11, 1960. He graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1978. He ran a local video arcade while attending UALR college part-time. He married Andrea Beaty Ridgway on May 28th, 1988. He was a long-time elder and member of First Christian Church of Benton, Arkansas. Ken recently retired from the Arkansas Department of Health where he was the videoconference coordinator for the past several years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents William Basil and Gladys Irene Hall Ridgway and Ralph H and Felipa Sepulveda Evans.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea Beaty Ridgway of Benton; son Andrew Ridgway and wife Morgan of Lewisville, TX; daughter Shelby Ridgway of Benton; parents Benjamin Kenneth Sr. and Carolyn Ridgway of Steprock; sister Vandy Holloway and husband Mark of Steprock; mother-in-law Jerry Beaty; sister-in-law Lori Terrell and husband Mike; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.

Visitation is set for 1 PM on Saturday, October 7th with the celebration of life service to follow at 2 PM at Ashby Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Bell officiating. A burial will follow at New Rosemont Cemetery in Benton.
