Obituary

Betty Lou Nash, age 90, of Benton, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024.  She was born September 29, 1933 in Hope, Arkansas.  Betty was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle of Benton and a retired L.P.T.N.  She loved her church, the outdoors, family, sitting on the porch, the lake, camping & traveling to different places.   Betty was known as grandma to everyone.  She loved everyone with her entire heart, but Jesus above all.  Her best days were spent sitting on the porch people watching with her black coffee and all of her family & friends being around.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Opal & William Richardson; husband, Allen Nash Sr.; her babies, Caroline Jean & Johnny Jr.; granddaughter, Tiffany Dodgen; son-in-law, Joey Scallion; daughter-in-law, Nita Nash; three brothers; and one sister.

Betty is survived by five children, Kathy Strickland (Albert), Tim Nash Sr., Lois Scallion, Allen Scott Jr., and Brenda Wills; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Spann, Hunter Taylor, Cody Hester, Jarrod Hester, Josh Hester, Tim Nash Jr., Chris Mitchell, and Colton Hester.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 9 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Social Hill Cemetery.  Pastor J. Emerson will be officiating.
