April 15th, 2024, Billye Jean Kennemer Ramsey, 94, of Benton, passed from this Earth to her Heavenly home.  She was born January 10, 1930, to James and Ora Holland Kennemer.

Billye Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of many years, George B. Ramsey Jr.

She is survived by her children, Richard Ramsey (Donna), Bob Ramsey (Debra), Vicki Collins (Phillip), Stanley Ramsey (Cheryl), and Janice Allred (Keith); her grandchildren, Karmen Word (Kevin Benson), Maranda Boyer (Anthony), Casey Collins, Jennifer Ramsey, Leigh Anne Thomas, Jayme Barker (Zach), Jaret Rogers (Kisha), Jordan Rogers (Emmy), Kayla Hercek (Teddy), Michael Ramsey (Angie), and Misty Sturm (Jason); and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Billye Jean was famous for her homemade rolls and fried pies.  She loved gospel music, flowers of all kinds, and hummingbirds.  Billye Jean was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother.  She served as a long-time member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, and she strived to walk with the Lord faithfully every day of her life.  Billye Jean was the true definition of a Proverbs 31 woman.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17 at Ashby Funeral Home.

The funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 18 at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Sharon Cemetery.
