Obituary

Bonnie G. Wolf, 82, of Benton, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 19, 2025, after a series of medical issues over the past several years.

A lifelong resident of Saline County, Bonnie was born Oct. 12, 1942, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock to Woodrow and Marie Wolf of Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving step-father, Gerald Simons.

She is survived by a brother, Larry W. Wolf and wife, Cherry, of Benton, along with nieces, Melissa, Rebecca and Laura.

Bonnie was an active member of First Baptist Church of Benton before her health declined and at one time served as assistant choir director. She was involved in many church ministries. Her smile and warm personality spilled over into church trips and activities.

Much of Bonnie's adult life was spent in the employ of beloved friend Jimmie Vineyard at Modern Beauty Salon, where she worked after graduating from Charles Beauty School in Little Rock. She and Jimmie enjoyed traveling, especially to Arkansas Razorback football games.

One of Bonnie's favorite sayings was, "Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle," followed by laughter from her and those within earshot. Always kind-hearted, Bonnie was well-known for sending cards to those who were sick or grieving the loss of a loved one. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

A graveside service at New Rosemont Cemetery will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 24, with Dr. Galan Hughes officiating. Service will be under the direction of Ashby Funeral Home of Benton.
