Carylon Lea McClendon, 81, of Paron, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, September 14, 2025 while surrounded by loved ones. She was born August 29, 1944 in Benton, Arkansas to Calvin and Alice Sullivan.

She was a 1962 graduate from Paron High School and spent a lifetime enjoying gardening, camping, hunting, and fishing with her family and friends.  Carylon was retired from Harvest Foods and Kids Sports.  She loved spending as much time as possible with her family and was never happier than when surrounded by those she loved.

Carylon was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold (Hub) Wade McClendon of 53 years and her parents, Calvin and Alice Sullivan.

She is survived by her two sons, Phil McClendon (Debbie) of Haskell and Cliff McClendon of Paron; grandchildren, Dawntrina Rickard (Tony) of Benton, Destini Campbell (Joseph) of Hensley, Zachary McClendon (Katie) of Paron, Michael White, and Bailey Baker of Haskell; her great-grandchildren, Cora Mullins and Ava Rickard, John (LJ), Joey, and Taegan Scates, Riley, Bryce, Barrett, and Stetson Campbell, AJ, Sadie, and Mac McClendon; two sisters, Brenda Feldman (Charlie) of Paron and Melissa Glasscock of Hot Springs; along with two dear friends and sisters-in-law, Shelia Turner (Don) of Drasco and Normalene Cobb (G.T.) of Fordyce.

Serving as pallbearers will be Zachary McClendon, Joseph Campbell, Tony Rickard, and Brian Mullins.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 19 at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20 at Fowler Cemetery in Paron.
