Cash Porter
Mccall Bengtson
Jun 19, 2006 — Nov 15, 2024
Benton
On Friday, November 15, 2024, Cash Porter McCall Bengtson, age 18, of Benton, was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord. Cash was a larger-than-life character, fiercely driven to be his own person. His sharp intellect, kind heart, relentless determination, and boundless passion for his interests gave him a charisma that captivated all. He charmed his peers, inspired those younger than him, and left those older in awe of one teenager's ability to shape his world with precision and purpose, all while staying true to himself.
Cash was immediately recognizable by his trademark long and wild blonde hair, an Air Pod in at least one ear, and a welcoming face behind the steering wheel of his beloved Dodge 3500 flatbed truck. He was passionate about deer camp, music, motorcycles, boats, guns, and the soulful howl of a blue-tick coonhound.
Most of all, though, he loved to work. Cash spent most days landscaping alongside his father and brother, taking great pride in his work and his contribution to the legacy of the family business. Even on his days off, he found ways to stay industrious, whether through side work or marketplace trading. Above all, Cash was a pillar of strength, knowledge, and love to his friends and family.
Cash was born June 19, 2006, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to his loving parents, David (Lindsey) Bengtson and Brandi Bengtson, who survived him. He is also survived by his brother, John Bengtson (Sarah), and grandmothers Peggy Bengtson and Bette Geldon. Cash is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Virgil Bengtson and TJ Geldon.
A memorial service for Cash will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Maumelle, located at 1201 Edgewood Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Cash's spirit by rolling up your sleeves and getting back to work.
