Charles Glen Brown, 70, of Benton, known to his loved ones as Glen or "Buzz", went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and unwavering friendship.

Glen was preceded in death by his mother, Laverne Kingsbury Brown; his father, Charles William Brown; his brother, Bob Brown; and his sister, Jean Brown.

An alumnus of Henderson State University, Glen distinguished himself as an exceptional athlete. As a track star, he left an indelible mark on the field and in the hearts of fellow students and community until he infamously got injured "streaking" across campus. His love for the great outdoors was a testament to his adventurous spirit, spending countless hours riding his bike, fishing, and hunting.

Glen was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Benton, where he served as a Sunday morning greeter. His welcoming smile and friendly demeanor made everyone feel at home as they walked through the church doors. His commitment to his faith and community was evident in his actions and the love he shared with others.

Glen's insatiable curiosity and vast knowledge on a wide range of topics made him a fascinating conversationalist. Whether he was sharing intriguing stories about WWII or discussing interesting facts about sports or nature, Glen always had something captivating to say. His passion for Corvettes was particularly well-known among his friends. Glen's eyes would light up whenever he spoke about these iconic cars, sharing stories about their history, engineering marvels, and the thrill of driving one.

Glen had an extraordinary gift for making friends effortlessly. He never met a stranger and had an incredible ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His infectious humor and constant stream of jokes brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.

Glen's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will forever remain in our hearts. His spirit of adventure and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects as Glen lies in repose at Ashby Funeral Home, 108 W. Narroway, Benton, AR 72015. Doors are open from 8:00am to 9:00pm and he will remain there until his graveside service at Rosemont Cemetery Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 1:00pm located at 1010 Military Road Benton AR 72015

Friends will gather at US Pizza at 2:00PM after the service.
