Charles Marter III, age 70, of Benton, passed away Tuesday April 22, 2025.  He was born December 20, 1954.  Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran, a truck driver, and a life member of First Baptist Church of Benton and later attended Grape Chapel Church of God with his sister.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Marter Jr. and Juanita McCrory Marter.

Charles is survived by his son, Travis Marter (Sandra); sister, Carolyn Cole; granddaughter, Breanna Marter; and two nephews, Michael A. Cole (Karen) and Joshua W. Cole.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, at Grape Chapel Church of God.  Bro. Kevin Sims will be officiating.
