Charles Lee Rule

Charles Passed away on October 26th, 2023, he was born on December 26, 1930 in Roswell New Mexico.to Mother Vella Fitzgerald Rule and Father Samuel Washington Rule.

Charles married Shirley Kemp on April 29th, 1950, they were married for 64 years before her passing in January 2015.  Charles started working at 13 years old, his Railroad career started when he was just 15, he left home and worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad, then went to work for Alton & Southern Railroad, during this time he went to college and obtained a Certificate for Industrial Management. He was transferred to Benton Arkansas in 1968 where he lived most of his life and worked as a General Manager of Bauxite and Northern Railway, in Bauxite Arkansas. Charles retired in 1986 working on a Railroad for 41 years. Charles enjoyed Hunting and Fishing with family and friends He was also an avid St Louis Cardinals fan, a dedicated fan rather they were winning or losing, he just simply loved the game.

Charles was initiated into Ancient Free and Accepted Masons Fraternity on May 23, 1955 at East Lodge #504 Fairview Heights Illinois, and Served as Worshipful Master of Benton Masonic Lodge #34 in 1991. Charles was an active member of our Fraternity for 68 years. After moving to McKinney Texas in October 2020, He joined St John's Lodge #51 in McKinney Texas.

Charles is survived by his three children, Linda Sue Matt, her husband Johnnie Matt, Rosemary Yvonne Westbrook, her husband Mark Westbrook, and Charles Victor Rule, his wife Nora Rule and four Grandkids, Tim Matt, Bryan Westbrook, Brandi Brazil, and Tiffini Pouster and 11 Great Grandkids.

His Siblings all deceased, Louise Rainey, Thelma Bonnell, Sam Rule, and Sylvester Rule.  Also preceded in death by Grandchild Christopher Matt.

Funeral services to be held on November 8th 2pm at Charles W Smith and Sons at 601 South Tennessee street McKinney Texas 75071.

Masonic services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10 at Ashby Funeral Home @ 108 W. Narroway in Benton, Arkansas 72015.

Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, November 10 at Zion Lutheran Cemetery @ 300 Avilla E. in Alexander, Arkansas 72002.
