Christine Elrod, age 100 of Benton, AR, ran into the arms of Jesus on June 11, 2025. Christine was born on April 21, 1925, in Bryant to Willie and Kate Wright and was the last living sibling of 11 children.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Joe Perry Elrod.

Christine always "had plenty" of love, food, quilts and words of wisdom for her family, friends, strangers, and the homeless. She had quite an eventful career across several jobs, with the most recent being a builder and realtor (which affectionately earned her the title of "The Tycoon").  She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, a former member of First Baptist Bryant, and a former longtime member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her three children: Donald Elrod (Jan), Harry Elrod (Robbie), and Missy McAdoo (Bill).  In addition, she has 11 Grandchildren: Russ Elrod (Amy), Jeremy McAdoo, Molly Hansen (Chad), Ryan Elrod (Karen), Mary Michal Duncan (Jason), Chancy McAdoo (Amber), Daniel Elrod (Amanda), Brady McAdoo (Mary Ellen), Braden Elrod (McKenzie), Kevin Elrod (Robin), and Lauren Roux (Robert). She also has 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 13th from 5:30-7:30 pm at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Benton.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 14th at Spring Creek Baptist Church with burial at Sharon Cemetery.

Pall Bearers will be her Grandsons.  Honorary Pall Bearers are "The Friday Night Crew": Jack and Mattie Ramsey, Louise and Albert Houpt, Janie Penn, Martha Jean LeQuieu, Carol and Bernie Gaiser, and Maxine Coffey.
