Clara Ann
Spears
Feb 29, 1944 — Jun 25, 2025
Benton
Clara Ann Spears, born on February 29, 1944, in Glenwood, AR was sent to her eternal home on June 25, 2025.
Clara is preceded in death by her husband Glenn Spears.
She is survived and missed by her children and family; daughter, Carolyn and husband Wayne; son, Jason; and son, Aaron and wife Amber; grandchildren, Matt, Kymber, Amber, Colten and Megan; great grandchildren, Landon, Nathan, Liam, Anne, Wesley, Jerry, Grayson and Leighton.
Clara was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives she touched. We ask that you remember her for the way she lived her life and for the profound impact she had on those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her journey on this earth was marked by an amazing work ethic, love, compassion, and understanding.
After graduation from Valley View High School she enrolled in the nursing program with St Bernards Hospital. Upon completing her nursing degree in 1977 and becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse she embarked on a lifelong nursing career where she touched many lives earning a reputation for being a caring, practical and responsible nurse who always knew it was more than just a job because she loved what she did.
Her strong work ethic and sense of adventure led her and her husband, Glenn, to start their own business, Spears Adult Day Care. Here she was able to continue being a nurse and applying all she learned over her decades of experience. Her care and compassion were evident in any task she completed, big or small, making Spears Adult Day Care feel more like a home rather than a business.
Outside of work she found joy in square dancing, competition archery, traveling, gardening, painting, drawing and crafts of any kind, some resulting in blue ribbons in the Saline County Fair.
Her memory lives on through us, her family, and although Clara's (Mom's, Nana's, Aunt Doobie's) physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. We'll be quoting her and smiling when we do it. She made a lasting positive impact on all our lives.
Celebration of Clara's life will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Wright's Chapel MBC located at 2150 South Market Street, Benton, AR.
