Claude Bennett Coffey Sr., age 88, of Benton, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024.  He was born July 9, 1935 in Gouldbusk, Texas. Claude was a Vietnam Army Veteran and a retired truck driver.  He was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.  Claude is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Coffey & Lou Etta Hilton and his sister, Joyce Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Coffey; son, Claude "Benny" Coffey Jr. and wife Teresa of Benton; daughter, Danise Larsen and husband Brent of Cabot; four grandchildren, Crisda Bergers of Cedar Park, Texas, Erin & Dakota Melton of Rogers, and Eric Larsen of Rogers; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob & Haiden Bergers.

Pallbearers will be Randy Carter, Leon Cornett, Dub Grant, Rick Prysock, Richard Ramsey, Lowell Rickett, Greg Rinehart, and Anthony Wright.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 28 at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 29 at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Sharon Cemetery.  Dr. Michael Reese and Bro. Rob Gaddis will be officiating.
