Cynthia Kidd Dunn, 94, died Friday, August 18 2023, in Longview, Washington.

She was born November 27, 1928, in Bauxite, to John and Ercie (Rucker) Kidd.

Cynthia was a homemaker and talented baker. She was a proud Arkansas who lived most of her life in Saline County and traced her family to some of the county's earliest settlers. She enjoyed learning history and was particularly knowledgeable about family and community history and happy to share that knowledge with others.

She attended New Hope United Methodist Church and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Provincia de La Sal Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ander C. Dunn; her parents; and a brother and sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Tilley and husband Scott of Durham, North Carolina, and Phyllis Jankowski and husband Mark of Longview, Washington; and one granddaughter, Emily Jankowski, of Olympia, Washington. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and dear friends and neighbors Judy and Jon Watson and Linda and Mickey Stuckey.

Funeral services are 11:00 AM Saturday, September 16, at Ashby Funeral Home, with Reverand Walt Garrett officiating. A private burial is planned.

Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm, Thursday, September 14, at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bauxite Historical Association Museum, New Friendship Cemetery, or a charity of your choice.
