David R. Halstead, 72, of Bauxite, Arkansas, passed away on March 16, 2025. Born May 22, 1952, in Peoria, IL to Robert and Vera (Smith) Halstead. He married Yvonne Fazzio, the love of his life, at South Short Lake Tahoe, NV on August 9, 1975. They met in California while David was stationed there in the Navy. David and Yvonne loved to boat and camp on Greers Ferry and travel together in their camper. If you knew David, you know he was one of a kind, never met a stranger, and was always the life of the party. He was a hard worker and could never sit still. His shop was the gathering place for neighbors, family, and friends, and there was always country music playing. On weekends he cooked a big breakfast for anyone who came by. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne; his children Robert Halstead (Kelly) of Cave Springs, AR and Tamara Halstead (Vernon) of Bauxite, AR; 4 grandchildren Kolbi Wuesthoff (Westley), John David Halstead (Heidi), Caden Tweedle, and Mason Halstead; 1 great-granddaughter Blakely Wuesthoff; his sister Lucinda Halpin (Kevin); his brother Ralph Halstead and the family adopted sister Katie Weih. David is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and treasured friends too numerous to name.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Vera Halstead and siblings Larry Stump, Donna Adams, Gerry Stump, Lawanda Fromm, Roberta Zimmerman, and Amelia Bowman.

Visitation will be from 5-7 on Thursday, March 20th, at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton, AR.
