David Luke O'Brien, Sr. of Hot Springs Village passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025. He was born in Northampton, Massachusetts January 12, 1948. Navy Master Chief Data Systems Technician, David O'Brien retired in 1991 with 27 plus 3 additional years of service. He loved the Navy, was an avid golfer, loved to cook, loved simple pleasures and happily became a full member of the "Wainwright Alpha Club".

He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis T. and Theresa (O'Donnell) O'Brien, a brother, Chip O'Brien and a sister, Colleen O'Brien.

Dave is survived by his wife, Dina Brooks, his fur daughter Sassa, sons: David L. O'Brien, Jr. (Alma) and Daniel M. O'Brien (Emily), step daughter: Jodi Brooks (Ray), grandchildren: Kyle, Jenna and Maddux, brother: Neil O'Brien, sisters: Ceil Humphrey (Al), Cathy O'Brien, Terri O'Brien, and Joelle Thibodo.
