Delilah Josephine Wilson Keene, age 94, of Benton, passed away October 26, 2024. She was born March 5, 1930, in Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harrison H. Keene and her beloved children Bonnie Jean Keene, Billy Dean Keene, Angie Sanders, and Joyce Ann Carter.

She is survived by her children Betty Sue Daniels, Rose Marilyn Pettit (Lesley), David Jefferson Keene, Jeannette Moore (Stephen), and Charles Henry Keene (Melissa) along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Delilah, known as "Jo" to all that knew and loved her, was a hard working woman that had a special place in her heart for her kids, they all remember her large holiday meals and get togethers. She was the heart and glue of the family. She was known simply as "Grandma" to most, it is with love and sweet memories they have of spending summers at "Grandmas". She enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash and June Carter and dancing to the music. Jo was a self-taught guitarist and her biggest crowd usually consisted of her husband, who sang along with her strums. Despite not being financially well off, she was incredibly generous with anything and everything she had. Her warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 at Ashby Funeral Home with services beginning at 11:00 am. Private family burial will follow at Kentucky Cemetery in Benton, AR.
