Diana Lee Faulkner Grant, 68, of Benton, Arkansas entered the presence of her Savior on May 29, 2026. She leaves behind of legacy of faith, love, joy, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Born on July 8, 1957, Diana was the daughter of late Billy Jack and Cecile Faulkner and spent her early years in Little Rock, Arkansas. She attended Parkview High School where she was a proud member of the Liberty Belle dance team. A family move later took her to Stone Mountain, Georgia, where she completed her high school education. Diana attended Georgia Southern University before returning to Arkansas and earning her Bachelor of Science in early childhood education at the University of Central Arkansas. Her college life included becoming a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority.

Education was not merely Diana's profession-it was her calling. For more than 30 years, she devoted her life to teaching and nurturing young minds. Throughout her distinguished career, she served students and families at Van Buren School, Baseline Elementary, Pine Forest Elementary, and Avila Elementary, where she retired from teaching. Her impact reached beyond the classroom, and she was honored as Teacher of the Year while serving at Pine Forest Elementary. Countless students remember her not only for what she taught them academically, but for the confidence, encouragement, and compassion she shared every day.

Diana's faith was the foundation of her life. She was a founding member of Midtown Church in Bryant, Arkansas, where she faithfully served on the welcome committee, ensuring that everyone who entered feel seen, valued, and loved. Her relationship with Christ shaped the way she lived, loved, and served others. Two phrases she often shared reflected her unwavering faith: "Joy Cometh" and "God doesn't waste anything." These words became a source of comfort and encouragement to many.

Music was Diana's lifeblood. Whether singing, listening, worshiping, or sharing songs with those she loved, music filled her heart and home. She was also an enthusiastic supporter of the Arkansas Razorbacks and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her beloved team, regardless of the sport.

Above all else, Diana treasured her family and friends, but her grandchildren held a special part of her heart. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed and loved.

Her laughter, kindness and genuine interest in others created lifelong friendships and cherished memories.

Diana is survived by beloved husband, Don Grant; her daughter, Courtney Webb (Justin); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Shockley, Clayton and Hunter Jones, and Jaxon Ward; her sister Billie Cornwell (Lamont); her sister-in-law, Brenda Faulkner, and a large circle of extended family and treasured friends who were blessed by her life and friendship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Shawn Brandon Shockley and her brother, Richard Faulkner.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m. at Ashby Funeral Home, Benton, Arkansas. The service will be led by Greg Kirksey, teaching pastor at the Church at Rock Creek.

"Joy Cometh." "God doesn't waste anything" These words, so often spoken by Diana, remain a testament to the hope and faith that guided her throughout her life. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
