Dora Ohlene Caple, age 78, of Benton, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in Benton, AR. She was born on February 14, 1945, in Bauxite AR to James Elliott and Lois Jefferies Elliott.

Dora was a caregiver all her working career. She was a devoted wife of 62 years to the love of her life, Tommy. Her family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed cooking and baking, in which she often got recognition in the Benton Courier. She loved spending time and cooking big meals for her family and whoever else was visiting at the time. She also enjoyed gardening, making beautiful flower arrangements and an occasional wedding cake. Dora was a member of Avilla Missionary Baptist Church.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents James and Lois Elliott. Three brothers, David Elliott, Wayne Elliott, and Jeff Elliott. Two sisters-in-law, Joanne Elliott and Linda Elliott. One grandson, Matt Daniels. One son-in-law, David Marano.

Survivors include her husband Tommy Caple of Benton, Brother Jim (Carolyn) Elliott of East End. Sister-in-law Becky Elliott of Benton. Daughter Tammy Daniels of Benton, Son Charles (Jamy) Caple of Bryant, Daughter Melinda Marano of Benton. Son Kirby (Kathy) Caple of Haskell. 7 Grandchildren, Brooke (Terry) Rupple of Benton, David and Daniel Shellnut of Benton, Brandon (Britney) Caple of Haskell, Brett (Hannah) Caple of Bryant, Jordan (Mandy) Caple of Malvern, Jason Caple of Haskell. 4 Great Grandchildren, Kirsten Rupple, Parker Caple, Paityn Caple and Briley Caple. Several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Terry Hayes, Phil Hayes, David Caple, Dennis Caple, Jody Caple and Jeffrey Caple.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20 at Ashby Funeral Home with services beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Social Hill Cemetery.  Bro. Paul Carter will be officiating.
