Obituary

Dorothy Jean (Boyce) White died July 7, 2025 in Bryant, Arkansas. She was 94 years old.

Born in Little Rock to Irene Butcher Scott on April 15, 1931, Dorothy was raised in Smackover, Arkansas by her adoptive parents Nell and Fred Boyce.

She met the love of her life, Thomas Don White, and they were married on May 30, 1954. After traveling the country for his work, Dorothy and Don eventually brought their growing family back to Little Rock. After Don experienced a major injury, Dorothy became the breadwinner for the family by opening an in-home day care, where she raised her three children and countless others. Throughout her life, she held other jobs to serve her family.

Dot, as she was affectionately known by her friends, was fiercely loyal and loving, and she spent her life caring for others.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Irene, Nell and Fred and her husband, Don. She is survived by her sister-in-law Angeline, her children David (Gloria) White, LaDonna (Stan) Denman and Damon (Lisa) White; five grandchildren, A.J. White, Theresa Stoneroad, Amber (Austin) Brown, Brad (Ashten) Denman and Brittany Denman and seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
