Born in Camden Arkansas on April 2nd, 1942 and raised in Sparkman, Arkansas, Doyle "Glen" Arnold passed on to be with his Lord and Savior on November 23rd, 2023. While in school at Sparkman, he served as class president and formed lifelong friendships with many classmates. As class president, he poured a concrete slab and wrote the names of all the graduating seniors on it. His early life also included much hard work as he helped support his family by working in the family grocery store and cafe as well as the family farm. By his estimation, he slaughtered over 200 head of cattle and 100 hogs during this time.

After high school graduation, Glen attended Henderson State University on a basketball scholarship and after two years, transferred to Ouachita Baptist University and graduated with a degree in business administration. In 1963, Glen married Judy Stephenson, and they moved to Little Rock where he was a teacher and coach at McClellan High School. He often spoke with fond memories about this time in his life. Later he began a career primarily in pharmaceutical sales and did this until retirement. Glen and Judy were married for 49 years and had two children that they raised in Benton, Arkansas. After Judy passed in 2012, Glen married Roxane Bischofberger in 2014, and they lived happily together until his passing.

Glen enjoyed hunting and fishing but by far his most favorite thing to do was play golf. He spent every available minute on the golf course trying to perfect his game. The stories of his golf adventures are too numerous to count! During his last days on earth, as he was in and out of consciousness, he mumbled about a golf course he was building. Without a doubt, he's playing that golf course today in heaven and hasn't missed a shot! Glen's grandchildren remember him for his elaborate stories of the camphouse, his love of dogs, the joy he felt when sitting on the dock watching the water and the birds, and his interest in the book of Revelation and Jesus' second coming. Every time his grandchildren were with him, they were embraced with a big hug, and he made sure they knew how much he loved them.

Glen is survived by his wife, Roxane Arnold; his children, Steve Arnold and Ann Marie (Kenny) Gibbs, four granddaughters; Annabelle Arnold, Stevie Gibbs, Liza Gibbs, and Suzanna (Chris) Dudley; as well as his brother, Eddie (Dinah) Arnold. Services will be at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton on Saturday, December 2nd at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Family Farm Christian Day Camp in Malvern, Arkansas.
