Earl Wayne Cloud of Benton, AR, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at the age of 83.  He was born to Melvin and Juanita Cloud on December 1, 1941, in Benton.  Earl graduated from Benton High School and attended Henderson State University where he received a B.S.Ed. in Mathematics.  He was a Distinguished Military Graduate and completed his military service in the Army where he attained the rank of Captain.  After being discharged, Earl completed his M.A.Ed. in Mathematics and began a rewarding teaching career at various secondary schools and colleges.

Earl is survived by a brother, Floyd; two children – son, Steven and wife Ashley, and daughter, Elizabeth; one grandson, Nicholas and wife Gracie; and one great grand-daughter, Jordan Rae.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Marni; parents Melvin and Juanita; and sister, Dorothy.

Earl was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling in his retirement.  He was also an active member of the Dixie Car Club for many years and most recently enjoyed volunteering at Saline Memorial Hospital.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 6-8 pm at Ashby's Funeral Home in Benton.
