Elbert "Lynn" Scoggins, age 92, of Haskell, passed quietly at his home Thursday May 9, 2024.  He was born April 3, 1932 in Miller County and moved to Saline County in 1964.   Lynn was a retired diesel mechanic from ABF Trucking.

He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.  He loved his farm and was always busy on it.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie & Dewey Scoggins; two sons, Mike Scoggins and Joey Stanley; and a grandson, Chris Scoggins.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rita Scoggins of Haskell, Ar; two daughters, Sandy Scoggins of Bryant, Ar and Becky Cox (John) of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sons, Steve Scoggins (Pam) of Knoxville, Ar, Gene Stanley (Rosemary) of Haskell, Ar, and David Scoggins of Malvern, Ar; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, & friends.

Pallbearers will be Jason Scoggins, Tim Sanders, Scotty Smith, Jeff Ramsey, and Mike Ramsey.

Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 14 at Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church with services beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Mt. Harmony Cemetery.  Bro. John Bagby will be officiating.
