Elizabeth Ann Davis Welch, age 81, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully after a courageous six-year journey with dementia. A beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Elizabeth will be remembered for her gentle spirit, sharp mind, and a stubborn streak that made her all the more unforgettable.

Elizabeth was an avid reader, a lover of words who could often be found curled up with a novel or determinedly working her way through a crossword puzzle. She had a quiet appreciation for the world around her and took great joy in birdwatching—content to sit and observe the beauty of nature, one feathered visitor at a time.

She was lovingly known as "Granny" to her two treasured grandchildren—a boy and a girl—who brought her endless joy and a bit of mischief. She approached life with a strong will, a twinkle in her eye, and the kind of stubbornness that let you know she was going to do things her way, thank you very much.

Elizabeth is survived by her devoted son, who stood by her side with love and care. She was preceded in death by her husband and beloved daughter. She will be laid to rest alongside them at Ebenezer Cemetery, in the quiet company of those she held dearest.

She lived with heart, humor, and grit—and her memory will be cherished always.
