It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Ellen Virginia Crow, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, on 5/22/2024. Her unwavering love and dedication to her family have left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
She was born on 11/5/41 in Jonesboro, AR. She is preceded in death by her mother Esther Williams, Stepfather Chelcie Williams, father Vernon Dudly Harris and brother Ray Williams. She is survived by her husband Robert Henry Crow, sons Charles Crow, Wayne and daughter in law Debra Crow, grandchildren Jennifer Crow, Abby and Zac Varnell, Tamara Mattson, and great grandchildren Marley, Mason, Samantha, Camden and a sister Venita Bankster.
Ellen married Bobby Crow on December 24th, 1959 and dedicated well over 60 years of her life to loving and supporting her husband. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership, a beacon of commitment and mutual respect. Together, they raised two wonderful sons, Wayne and Charles Crow, who were the pride and joy of her life. As a mother, she instilled in them values of kindness, hard work, and the importance of family. Her nurturing spirit extended to her granddaughters.
A woman of many talents, Ellen had a creative spirit that shone through in her passion for painting and drawing. Her green thumb was evident in her flourishing garden. She found great joy in cooking for her family, her meals were a labor of love that brought everyone together around the dinner table, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Summers at the lake with her extended family were among her most treasured times, filled with laughter, joy, and togetherness. She also played a vital role in the extended family's BBQ joint, where her efforts in the kitchen were a testament to her selflessness and dedication.
Ellen was a woman of immense generosity and strength. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her family, and her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Bobby Crow, her sons Wayne and Charles, daughter in law Debra, granddaughters Jennifer Crow, Abby Varnell and Tamera Mattson, and countless other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of her life will be held on May 25,2024 at Martin Cemetery where we will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful life she lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice in her name.
