Evelyn Kay Chilton age 91, of Benton, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025. She was born September 1, 1934 in Alexander. Evelyn was a retired Life Skill Instructor at Timber Ridge Neurological Center, and a member of Avilla Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Arthur Murray and Katherine Wilburn Murray, and her husband Joel Douglas Chilton.

Survivors, son and daughter-in-law, Joel Douglas Chilton Jr. and wife Kim, daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry Leigh (Pete) Hull, and Sandy Jean (Lee) McCampbell, brother, Richard Olin Murray, sister, Jean Murray-Haley, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Wednesday at Rosemont Cemetery. Minister will be Bro Kirby Caple.
