Geraldine Marie Drye Stuckey, of Benton, was born August 23, 1941 and received her promotion to glory on her 84th birthday, August 23, 2025; with her son, Mark and loving family members by her side.
Born and raised in the Mt. View Community of Benton, she was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Marion (Red, Poppy) Stuckey; son, Jeffrey; her parents, Ople and Nora Drye; brother, Buddy Drye; and a sister, Sue Holiman all from the Mt. View Community.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Mark (Mario) of West Palm Beach, Florida; her sisters, Linda Montalvo and Darlene Witham (Bob) of Benton; "Bonus" son, Greg Childress of Florida; two grandchildren, John Stuckey (Katie) and Shamara Frazier (Mike); six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jackie, Karissa, Ty, Timothy, and Elijah (with whom she had a special bond); two great-great-grandchildren, Legend and Leilani; numerous nieces & nephews; as well as her extended family of Summerwood Partners, Inc.
Geri worked approximately 25 years for Summerwood and they were dear friends & they loved her in return. The last day Geri worked was July 3, 2025.
Geraldine was a 1959 graduate of Benton High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Benton. She served this world with open arms and a spirit of generosity, kindness, compassion, and comfort. Geri loved everyone and they loved her.
Her final journey began July 5, 2025 at Saline Memorial Hospital and the family expresses appreciation & gratitude to the ICU, 4th floor, and rehab staff for her constant compassionate care… Thank you also to Doctors: Mark Martindale, Johnson, Sokolov, and Quade; Gentiva Hospice and nurses, Emily, Maegan, Kay, Jennifer, Nel, Tabitha, Leah, Tarrah, and Janice.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Thomas, TJ Holmes, Tim Slinkard, Dylan Moseley, Frank Nash, Mark Jones, Shane Stone, and Terry Burgess. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Gabbard, David Hendrix Jr., Landon Parker, and Aaron Davidson.
Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28 at Ashby Funeral Home with a celebration of her life beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery on Mt. View Rd. Pastor Brandon Graham will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital.
