Gloria Golding Phillips, age 90, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024.  She was born April 30, 1934 in Warren, Arkansas. Gloria was a homemaker and a member of Ten Mile Missionary Baptist Church.

Her late husband Charles was the love of her life.  She loved nothing more than cooking and hosting for all holidays.  Gloria enjoyed traveling with her husband and siblings to many destinations.  She also was very involved in the Saline Homebuilders Association, through Phillips Homebuilders, where for many years she made Christmas baskets.  Gloria loved her dogs, fishing, and her gardens.  Her favorite flowers were roses and violets.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Henry & Pauline Thomerson Golding; husband, Charles Preston "Nutt" Phillips; daughter, Cheryl Brewer and son-in-law Sandy Brewer; son-in-law, Carroll Hambric; one sister, Alyce Smothers and brother-in-law Charles; nephew, Wes Smothers; three brothers, William "Bill" and sister-in-law Ann, Samuel, and Steve Golding.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Linda Hambric; two grandchildren, Rob Winters (Kelli) and Jarrod Hambric (Brandy); four great-grandchildren, Lindsey Kate Winters, Lily Winters, Ethan Hambric, and Preslee Hambric; nieces & nephew, Julie Hawkins, Lori Newman (Joel), Amy Purdy (Rob), and Jamey Golding (Dede); and great-nieces & nephews, Hannah Newman, Haylee Newman, Nick Purdy, Colby Rucker, Kacey Hopson (Quincy), Spencer Hawkins (Taylor), Sophie Smothers, and Claire Smothers.

Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 25 at Ten Mile Missionary Baptist Church with services beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Private family burial will follow at Phillips Cemetery in Lono.  Bro. Will Diggs will be officiating.

Family Comments:  The family would like to thank Mt. Carmel and Pleasant Hill for their love & care they showed during her last few years.

In lieu of flowers, her wishes are to have memorials made to Ten Mile Missionary Baptist Church.
