Grady Boyd Rollon, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away March 26, 2025 surrounded by his family that loved him so dearly.
Born in Caddo Gap on September 7, 1933, Grady was a retiree of 35 years from Alcoa. He found joy in woodworking, gardening, crossword puzzles, watching Andy Griffith, and most of all spending time with and caring for his family. He was trained as a cook during his army service and loved to cook meals for his family as well as being a master of jellies and preserves. He was known for his generosity, kindness of heart, and sense of humor.
He is survived by his loving wife and partner in life of 65 years, Betty; his children, Greg Rollon (Janet), Kelly Doppelhammer (Bobby); his grandchildren Julie Acree (Joey), Jacob Rollon, Krystal Hankins (Eric); his great-grandchildren Nate Acree, Grady Acree, Lucas Hankins; his sister Bernice Brakefield; sister-in-law Lou Ann Hopkins (Johnny), brother-in-law Charles Jacobs, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Mary Rollon; brothers Elmer Rollon, Cecil Rollon, sisters Maxine Richmond, and Eva Rollon Cody.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday, March 31, 2025 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Tull. Minister will be Rev. Garry Teeter.
