Obituary

Hallie Virginia Beard Callens, aged 55, passed away on January 13, 2025, in Little Rock, AR, surrounded by her children.

Born on October 9, 1970, in Pensacola, FL, Hallie was the daughter of Berry and Hallie Beard. She graduated from Benton High School in 1989 and earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Arkansas State University in 1993. She went on to earn a Master's in Education from Louisiana Tech and later taught junior high and high school math for many years. She inspired countless students with her love of math and made them laugh with her famous saying, "Triangles are fun".

Hallie raised three daughters whom she loved very deeply. She was extremely proud to be a mother and grandmother and was known to tell anyone who would listen about her children and grandchildren. Hallie loved to paint, read, dance like nobody was watching (even when they were), and just have fun. She loved deeply, laughed loudly, and was unapologetically unique.

Hallie is survived by her children, Bailey Callens, Kathryn Callens Pierce (Dustin), and Lexi Callens McCone (Roman); her parents, Hallie and Berry Beard; her brother, John Beard; her grandchildren, Callen, Hadlee, Hawk, Dustin Jr., Harper, Alivia, and Brently; and a host of other family and friends.

Hallie's loving spirit, laughter, compassion, and commanding presence left an impact on the lives of many. Heaven gained a beautiful angel when she left this Earth. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
