Harold Stephen Burks, age 70, of Benton, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024. He was born June 5th, 1953 in Malvern Ar.  Known to most as Steve, many knew him from his career as a mechanic. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and anything to do with cars and racing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bernice Burks; son, Michael Lynn; granddaughter, Sydney White; and sister, Janet Collier.

Steve is survived by his wife, Diane Burks; son, Gary Lynn (and Kelly); daughter Sonja Reed (and Josh); three grandsons, Alex Lynn, Carson Reed, Logan Reed; sister Jeanette Cunningham (and Jeff); niece Kate Cunningham; niece Anne Morganson (and Richard); nephew Alan Collier (and Stacy), great nieces and nephews and many other friends and loved ones.

Steve was loved by his family very much and he will be deeply missed. Memorial services will be held at Fairplay Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 a.m.
