Hector Karim Rico (42) of Benton, AR, passed away on July 31, 2023. He was born June 18, 1981, in Guadalajara, Mexico, moved to the USA at a young age, and graduated from Bauxite High School in 1999. Karim was a loving father, a hard worker, and a dedicated friend who would never say no when someone needed help. He became well known in the community through his amazing efforts as a youth soccer coach, helping to establish and grow Benton FC, a local club that has since merged with the Arkansas Wolves. Karim touched the lives of dozens of players, always encouraging them to compete and improve, while also caring about them as more than just athletes.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Fallad; his daughters, Sahara Fallad and Akira Fallad; his mother, Irma Yolanda Mathews; his stepfather, Larry Mathews; his loyal dog, Bella; numerous family who are still in Mexico; and many, many friends here who are also like family.

Visitation will be held at the Ashby Funeral Home, from 10:30 to 12:00 on Saturday, August 5.

The funeral will be at Saline Missionary Baptist Church, 8210 N. Main Street Tull, Ark 72015, 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 5.
