Houston Carl Young age 83, of Alexander, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He was born October 19, 1941 in Little Rock. Houston was retired from the US Postal Service, was US Army Veteran serving during the Viet Nam War, a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Disabled American Veterans, lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of the Humphrey United Methodist Church.

Houston was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Malcolm Young and Evelyn Louise Crill, wife, Helga Louise Young, and brother, Jimmy Young.

Survivors, daughters, Lucy Louise Young, and Monika Ann Underwood, brother, Jerry Young, sister, Nancy Deane Meredith, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
