Jack W. Montague (Jay W.) born August 2, 1941, passed away peacefully at his home in Lonsdale formally of Bryant Arkansas. December 12, 2024, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Jack B. Montague and Mother, Erma Montague.

He had three children, Daughters, Carmen Montague Womack (Jim Womack), Jayme Montague Johnson (Steve Johnson), and Son, Jason Montague. He had five Grandchildren Mandy Braden (Nathan Braden), Lisa Brock (Cole Brock), Jacob Montague (Leslie Montague), Stephanie Kitlen (Roland Kitlen), Ashley Nicholson, eight Great Grandchildren, Blakely Jacobs, Kamryn Raper, Sidney Braden, Presley Braden, Grayson Young, Jackson Braden, Kolton Kitlen and Jace Montague.

Jack W. Montague was a faithful member of Crossroads Baptist Church until he became ill a few years ago. He loved Jesus, even until his last weeks when he could not remember much else you could ask him who Jesus was to him, and he would say "He is my Lord and Savior."  His favorite quote in times of trouble was "you just have to have faith, hope and love."  He was a wonderful Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He loved his family with all his heart and loved spending time with them most of all. Jack retired from Bauxite & Northern Railway after working 30 years and 4 months without taking a single sick day.

The Children want to thank Elite Hospice for the great care they gave their dad. The love and compassion they showed was exceptional. In lieu of flower donations to Elite Hospice are appreciated @ 4000 Hwy 5 Suite 5 in Bryant, Ar  72022.

A private graveside funeral will be held later.
