Jacob Edward Oates, age 31, of Benton, passed away on April 10, 2026. He was born November 16, 1994, the son of James Edward Oates and Wanda Gail Oates.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Oates, Mildred Oates, and Lucy Jester and cousin Paul Daniel Mosley.

He was survived by his father, James Oates (Kelly) of Benton, his mom, Wanda Oates of Gurdon; siblings, brother, Cody Fisher (Heidi), of Benton, and sister, Heather Oates of Malvern. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

Visitation services will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Ashby Funeral Home.
