Jacquelyn "Jackie"
Homan
Sep 17, 1931 — Apr 27, 2026
Benton
Jacquelyn "Jackie" Homan, age 94, of Benton, AR passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born in Monroe, LA to Tilton and Anna Lois Hankins. Despite her doting mother dressing her in dainty dresses with hair bows and socks dyed to match, she loved being outdoors climbing trees and roller skating down the sidewalks. In school she was often considered the "teacher's pet" and was entrusted with many student-desired errands. Jackie later attended Northeast Louisiana State.
She met the love of her life, Jack Homan, in 1948, and they were married three years later. After Jack's military service was completed, they moved to his hometown of Benton, AR to start a family. It was important to them both that Jackie stay home and raise their 3 daughters rather than working outside the home. She considered motherhood her greatest purpose along side sharing her faith in Jesus Christ with others. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton for over 60 years. In her younger years she served teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was actively involved in Training Union. After raising her daughters, Jackie got her real estate license and began working with her husband at Thomas Real Estate. They made a great team for many years.
Jack and Jackie's marriage was 74 sacred years of love, laughter, devotion and genuine care for one another. They weathered the ups and downs of life with their strong faith in God and their unwavering commitment to each other. Their love and marriage have been a wonderful and influential testament to so many.
Jackie was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and had a deep passion for genealogy. She was very talented in sewing, knitting, gardening, cooking and oil painting.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Eloise Hankins; her grandson, Michael Dickson; and her beloved sister-in-law, Katheryn Walden.
Jackie is survived by her devoted husband, Jack Homan; her daughters, Cindy Dickson (Larry), Sherri Goss (Billy), and Tammy Mansker ( John); her grandchildren: Larry Dickson (Tisa), Jeremy Goss (Crystal), Brad Goss (Anna), Jennifer Koehler (Danny), Laura Dickson, Amanda Allen (Cody), Jack Bethel, Anna Kate Bethel, and Garrett Mansker (Jessie); Eleven beloved great grandchildren; and her beloved sister-in-law, JoNell Homan.
Jackie touched the lives of all who knew her. Her kindness and compassion made others feel deeply cared for, understood, and truly seen. She exuded an inner beauty and effortless feminine grace. She was intuitive, nurturing, and gentle in spirit. She lived a life rooted in faith in God, reflected beautifully in the way she loved and served others. Her unconditional love and unwavering devotion to her family were unmatched. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, faith, and devotion. There are no words for how much she was truly loved on this earth. As the heart of her family, she will be deeply missed and forever cherished. We find peace in knowing that she is now whole again and basking in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff of Pleasant Hill Senior Services. Your compassion and exceptional care brought much needed light and warmth to this most difficult journey.
