James Boyd Butler, 77 of Benton, passed away on November 7, 2023.  He was born on February 4, 1946 in Helena, Arkansas.

James worked most of his life as a Machinist.  He loved to work in his workshop and do woodworking.  He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Military Policeman.  James loved his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Butler, five brothers and two sisters.

James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy Loyd Butler, son, Mike (Becky) Butler, daughter, Debra (Tony) Carman; grandchildren, Danielle (Joe) Mata, Josee Carman, Russell (Nicole) Butler, Braden (Abigail) Carman; great grandchildren, Joe Carter Mata and Giavana Mata.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 10th at Ashby Funeral Home, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
