James "J. D." Smith, 68 of Benton, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. James was born in Benton, Arkansas February 24, 1956.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Smith, they were together for 42 years and married for 37. He was a member of the Grace Point PCG in Bryant, Arkansas.

He leaves behind his children, David, (Ashley) Delong, Carroll, Cheryl Delong and great-niece, Amber Cummings. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Blake, Mattie, and Katie Delong.

He will be remembered for his strong personality and his auto salvage business.
