James Lloyd (Jim) Billingsley, age 81, of Alexander, Ark, left this earth on December 10, 2025.

Born Mar 19, 1944 in Hamilton County, TX, he graduated from Evant High School in 1961 and joined the US Air Force (1963-1967) which brought him to Little Rock. In the USAF he learned skills that led to a career in commercial HVAC service and contracting, then retired to live on the family farm, with all his kids living nearby. He was extremely proud of his kids, grandkids & great grandkids and thankful for all of his extended family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always there to help with any crisis, so much that his tool bag rarely left his car, always on stand-by. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents James N & Wanda (Fisher) Billingsley, his wife of over 50 years Carolyn Earle Billingsley and sister Jean Ranney.

He leaves behind his sons Jimmy Billingsley (Carmen) & Robbie Billingsley (Andrea), daughters Amy Buquoi (Mike) & Sarah Wood, Eight grandchildren and six great grand-children. He is also survived by his sister Mary Hunter and brother H.J. Billingsley.

Visitation will be held at Ashby Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025 (2-4 pm). Family graveside service will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Monday, Dec. 15 (10 am).
