James W. Rhodes passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home in Benton, Arkansas.  He was 91 years old.  Jim was born August 4, 1931 in Pecos, Texas to Dock and Anna Rhodes.  He retired from Reynolds Metals as an electrician, and a second time from Sparks Jewelers in Benton.  He enjoyed fishing with his brother, working outdoors, and spending time with his family.  Jim was a dedicated servant of the Lord.  He taught the junior high boys' class at Northside Church of Christ for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 68 years Geneva; and one grandson, Brett Kinkaid.

He was survived by four children and their spouses, Peggy and Greg Kinkaid of Benton, Arkansas, Eddie and Kim Rhodes of Benton, Arkansas; Jan and Steve Massengale of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Dana and David Himes of Benton, Arkansas; one brother, Walter Rhodes of North Little Rock, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  Jim was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Ashby's.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Pine Crest Cemetery. Minister will be Jim Gardner.
