James Stewart "Stewart" Case Jr., 35, of Benton, departed this life and ran into the arms of Jesus on Friday, March 13, 2026.  He was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi on August 17, 1990.

Stewart is survived by his parents, Jim and Apryl (Anderson) Case, his sister, Sara (Case) Williams and her husband Jesse Williams, niece Audrey Grace Williams, nephew Tyler James Williams, and his much-adored cat, Keanu.

He will be joining his grandparents A. Q. & Ruth Anderson of Louisville, MS and Bob & Adah Case of Meadville, MS in heaven.

Stewart was a master of movie trivia; able to quote an appropriate movie line for any occasion. He had a quick wit and deadpan delivery that helped him make friends wherever he worked or visited.

He loved fast cars, having sampled all of Detroit's finest, owning in close succession a Mustang, Camaro, and Charger.

His work varied from managing a flock of guineas (not long!), to painting tall farm structures (heights!), but his passion was cooking, grilling, watching cooking shows, trying crazy sauces, and talking about the next good place to eat.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a food pantry of your choice.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19 at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton and his Celebration of Life beginning at 3:00 p.m. Brother Bob Harper and Reverend Clay Cunningham will be officiating.
